Today met as usual in the library and worked on some questions about yesterday's bus tour. After finishing this, we set out for the Metro to begin our walking tour of Madrid. We started at the Palacio Real and then walked down the Calle Mayor through the Plaza Mayor, the Plaza de la Villa, the Puerta del Sol, and the Paseo del Prado. Read the rest of this entry »

I really should have packed my gloves! Oh well…we are having a great time in Spain. Today we started in the library (biblioteca) and then went to classes. After lunch, we watched The Day After Tomorrow in Spanish. Lastly, we took a bus tour around Madrid. For a better view, we sat on top of the bus even though it was in the mid-40s (°F). After the tour, some of the group is off to a big soccer (fútbol) game. I'm uploading photos! – done 🙂

I'm in Spain!! Please check the forum and galleries devoted to the Spanish Exchange: Exchange Forum and Spain Photo Galleries. As I find more time, I will post in more detail about the day's events. For now, all you need to know is that everyone in the exchange is now in Madrid and that we toured the historic city of Toledo today. ¡Hasta luego!

I just finished uploading the last of my Fame photos! It was a great musical season full of joy and some sadness. We seniors are leaving NA soon, but mark my words…we will return! I will do my best to come back to NA and the new fine arts center for future plays and musicals. Well, for now we have a few months left. Check out the photos!

I finally finished adding support for what I am calling 'EPKCode' to the EPKPhoto Forum. EPKCode is a set of forum codes very similar to BBCode that allow normal users to change the formatting of their posts. Check out my documentation on the forum help page.

Today all twelve grades of Norfolk Academy participated in a seminar based around the children's book Starry Messenger by Peter Sís. We discussed the life and character of Galileo to inspire more active observation of the world around us. Check out my photos of the end of the day!
