We're half way through the holiday season and I'm 19 :). For those of you who didn't know, my birthday is Dec 26. Today we are traveling to my grandmother's house in Waynesboro, VA to exchange more gifts and visit the family. We are also going to visit my grandfather in West Virginia. I love this time of year when I get to relax and enjoy visiting others. It is especially nice that RIT's quarter system allows me not to have to worry about much class work around this time of year. For those of you looking to order Debutante Ball photos, I will be checking my email while traveling, so order away! The sooner, the better.

Here we go! The photos from last night's Debutante Ball are posted for viewing and ordering. For those of you new to the site, you can view the photos and then send a request to me for any prints you want. All the photos link to my handy photo request form. You will need to create a free account on this site to access the form, which allows you to save your order for submission at a later time, and provides a way for me to verify the source of the order. Contact me if you need assistance or would like to order prints without using the form. Once again…click here to access the photos.

I am back home from shooting photos at a debutante ball for some of my former classmates from Norfolk Academy. That means two things: I have a lot of photos to edit, and the website will be seeing a lot of traffic over the next couple weeks :). We had a great time, and the band Butter, who seems to show up at a lot of NA related events, played well as always. Well, I should get back to editing photos so all the people visiting the site will have something to see. Hold tight, the photos will be online soon!

I'm currently sitting at gate B2 in the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC). Finally I'm going home since leaving for RIT several months ago. I can't wait to see all the pets at home 🙂 Seeing Mom and Dad will be great, too, but I did see them over Thanksgiving in Ohio. The kittens have been growing up without me, and I'm sure Paws, Sage, and Pelli have missed me. Once I get home, I'll let you in on some recent advancements to the website (that is unless you've already found out what happens when you click on the title of this post ;)). Last night all the ice and snow threatened to delay today's flights, but the storm did not turn out so bad. The snow and sleet we did get would have closed school at home for at least two days. Rochester, however, knows a bit more about dealing with this weather.

I went to another hockey game tonight. It was an action-packed wrestling match, but RIT blew Geneseo State away with an embarrassing 6-1 victory. There was the normal amount of roughing and penalties, until the third period when a huge fight broke out on the ice directly in front of where we were sitting. After the brawl had cleared, specks of blood were left on the ice and glass, and no less than six players were penalized and/or disqualified!

Since it is nearing two weeks since my last post 🙁 I thought I should do a quick series of catch-up blips. First and foremost, Firefox version 1.5 was released yesterday with noticeable speed enhancements, interface changes, and a more solid update-grabbing system. Next, today the last several episodes of the IT's So Tech radio show have been posted into the RSS feed (http://itso.rit.edu/audio/itssotech.xml) for download. That means you can go back and listen to my appearance on the Nov. 16th show ;). You'll need to open that link to the feed in a proper RSS audio program (like iTunes…ask in the Forum if you need help). Thirdly, I added a little code to the site so when you log in, your username will show at the top right of any page on the site. I would talk more about the great food over Thanksgiving or how this new quarter is going well so far at RIT, but I'll just stop here and let you fiddle with the things I mentioned above.

I finished my last exam for this quarter a couple hours ago!! Overall, I think I did quite well on all the exams and I'm happy with my performance this first quarter at RIT. A few other tidbits…I did the radio show last night, and more of my friends tuned in this time than the last show. See my previous posts for more info. It's snowing here in Rochester, and it looks like some may stick this time. The latest NWS forecast says 1-2 inches is possible this evening and night. I'm working tomorrow morning, and Saturday a gang of eager Ohians are taking me off to enjoy my week long break. It may be a couple days before I post again. See ya!

Just a quick, somewhat last minute note…I'm going to be on the IT's So Tech radio show again tonight on RIT's WITR station. Check out the live stream from 8:00-10:00pm at the following link: streaming.modernmusicandmore.com:8000/live.m3u (you may need to open the link manually in iTunes or another media player). It's calling for a bit of snow tomorrow that may actually stick this time. Also, tomorrow will be my last exam of this quarter :). Can't wait to see the family in Ohio! Make sure to catch tonight's show, or if you miss it, wait a few days (or weeks ;)) until the download shows up in the xml feed I mentioned in the last post.

I thought weather at home was a little strange, but Rochester is just screwed up! Today it is a partly cloudy, "blazing" 67° F. By the end of the week we should be back to a normal high of close to 40. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are now able to download the IT's So Tech radio show. The XML feed is at http://itso.rit.edu/audio/itssotech.xml. You need a podcast aggregator, like iTunes, to subscribe to the show. If you need help, post in the Forum or send me an email. Remember, I was a guest in the second episode (Oct. 5, 2005).
