Still in Rochester

March 6th, 2006 at 6:39 am

The dorms have emptied for the most part except for just a few students on each floor. Spring Break is here and I am leaving for Chicago tomorrow. I am joining a small group of Honors students in the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences on a "professional trip" to network with alumni and other contacts. Since I'm a freshman, this is more of a sight-seeing trip for me, though I'm sure the experience will benefit me in the long run. In other website news…you probably notice the display of the two blog posts on the main page has changed.

If you have ever actually clicked on the title of any of my posts to read the full entry, you may already know that ever since I moved the blog to WordPress, I have had a comment system. Now it will be more obvious with the display of the number of comments and a link to post a comment shown on the main epkphoto.com page. I hope this will encourage visitors to leave comments. No special account is required. All the user has to do is fill in the comment form. When the user posts for the first time, a moderation email will be sent to me. After I approve the user, any further comments just go right through. This system will keep down comment spam (I've already had to moderate out some). If this comment system intimidates you, feel free to proceed to what I hope is familiar ground in the epkphoto.com Forum. Let me know what you think about the subtle change.

It's easy to leave a comment! Go ahead and give it a go. Feel free just to experiment here even if you don't have anything of substance to say 🙂

Hope you have fun in Chicago. I won't mention how bizarre it is to go to Chicago in March for Spring break. What happened to going south for Spring Break?! Oh, well, enjoy and stay warm.
